Giannis Pagalos

Giannis is a senior associate at LCI Law, practicing Greek-law shipping dispute resolution.

Before joining LCI Law, he worked for 2 years at the Piraeus office of Ince & Co and for 3 years at the Athens office of Watson Farley & Williams.

Giannis acts for shipowning companies, charterers, hull & machinery insurers and P&I Clubs.

He conducts all types of shipping and contractual disputes before the Greek courts, and on the non-contentious side handles a variety of company law and compliance issues for his clients and specialises in incorporating maritime companies in Greece (Law 959/79) and branches/offices of foreign legal entities in Greece (Law 89/67).

Giannis has also handled several civil and administrative matters before the Greek Courts and has experience in property transactions.

Experience

• Assisted in aspects of the Sea Diamond high-profile Greek case arising from the sinking of a passenger ferry at Santorini, Greece
• Assisted in the Norman Atlantic high-profile case arising from a fire on board a ferry boat in the Adriatic Sea after sailing from Greece
